About Us

 The Barking Lodge Primary School was established in 1965 in the Barking Lodge District of St. Thomas. It is located to the extreme eastern coastal area of Jamaica in St Thomas. It is fifteen (15) miles east of Morant Bay the capital and four miles Southeast of Golden Grove one of the nearest towns. The school which is a multi-grade school serves the communities of Barking Lodge, New Pera, Hampton Court, Springfield, Hill Top and to a lesser extent Rocky Point, was built to accommodate three hundred (300) pupils. Most of the school’s population is from the New Pera, Springfield and Barking Lodge area.  

 The Barking Lodge Primary & Infant School has been focused on the goal of offering introductory computer training and community access to computers and the internet at the school. The Resource Center will serve as a vital hub for students, staff and community, providing essential technological resources and support to enhance learning, research and productivity. An overview of the project will highlight the center’s facilities, services that it will provide and its objectives which highlight its role in fostering a technologically empowered educational environment.
